It arrives at 12050 Etris Rd in the Sweet Apple Village shopping center in Roswell. The location previously housed BoneYard Kitchen and Tap, a family-run grill and sports bar that closed in 2019. Prior to that, the space was occupied by another Mexican restaurant, Blue Agave Mexican Bar and Grill.
The upcoming location is brought to the area by owner Jannira Martinez who, along with her husband Pablo, owns the family-run chain of eight restaurants. Papa’s and Beer was founded in 2006 by Jannira’s father, Javier Gomez.
“Yes indeed, we are opening our very first location in Georgia,” Jannira said in an email to What Now Atlanta. “We are delighted with this new location as our other locations in the Carolinas have a totally different decor. Everything in this new location has been hand picked and imported from Mexico.
The inauguration is tentatively set for January 1.
The self-proclaimed “California-style” restaurant serves authentic Mexican cuisine such as tortilla soup, taco salads, and fajita nachos. Starters include over 20 dishes including quesadillas, tacos (with options in Mexico City, California, and Hawaii), burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. Specialty cocktails, house and Cadillac margaritas, wine and beer are also offered.
