The express burrito truck will soon open a storefront on Highway 41 in Henderson called Burrito Express Mexican Grill. Look for authentic Mexican specialties such as tacos, alambres, gorditas, guisados, barbacoa, birria and more. No opening date has been announced.

Evansville Pizza Week by Evansville The events will take place from Sunday January 9th to Saturday January 15th. Nearly a dozen restaurants in Evansville, including Deerhead, Bob’s Lounge, Lombardi’s New York Pizza and wings and Steve’s Una Pizza, will be offering $9 pizza specials, either on a classic pie or a new creation. The Highland Inn will no longer be open on Sundays after January 9, but will make the restaurant available to accommodate larger private parties of 35-85 people on Sundays with advance planning. Breakfast will still be served throughout the week. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The newspaper inn the staff are on annual vacation in January and the restaurant will reopen on Friday February 4th to warm you up once again with family dinners of fried chicken, ham and roast beef and more on the extensive a la carte menu.

Schymik’s kitchen expanded its hours and updated the menu. It is now open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and for Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu includes small plates of Chef Lake’s Chilli Cheese with tortilla chips and beet salad with goat cheese, arugula, toasted pecans and orange vinaigrette; and larger plates of crab cakes with hoppin’ John, crawfish smother, mixed shellfish in lobster sauce over grits and more.
