EL PASO — Las Cruces’ popular Matteo’s Mexican Food recently announced an expansion to El Paso with its third location, this one in the Texas city’s West Towne Marketplace.
Matteo’s recently opened its second location in Las Cruces. Its first location, along University Avenue, is a popular location, prompting a second downtown location. Now, El Pasoans will have the chance to incorporate Matteo’s into their dining plans.
Construction is underway at West Towne Marketplace, off Interstate 10 on the west side of El Paso, just between Cabela’s and Flix Brewhouse. Melody Rios, one of four co-owners, said it will be a few months before they’re ready to open the doors to customers.

Melody and her twin sister, Michelle, were born in El Paso, so this latest expansion of the business they share with their husbands — who are brothers — brings them even closer to home. Melody said the opportunity to add this final location came along and felt like a natural next step.
“We are truly honored to serve each of our loyal customers and none of this would be possible without their support,” Melody said.
