Lunch happenings, new authentic Mexican restaurant

Lady Brew Pub is open again from noon to 11 a.m. seven days a week. Stop by for your favorite brew with hand-cut fries; a famous Wrath Burger with pepper jack, fried pickles, avocado and jalapeno; fish and chips; a Scotch egg or another Demoiselle specialty.

Mele’s Diner has a new menu with even more classic American, Tex-Mex and Mexican dishes. Eat inside or take advantage of the new drive-thru window where you can order from a special quick menu for immediate pickup. Mele’s has also extended its opening hours to 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The granola jar The East Side location changes from Brinker Plaza to East Virginia Street. The Green River Restaurant will remain open during the changeover, so you’ll have uninterrupted access to your favorite pastries, homemade granola, sandwiches and light meals.

The current East Side granola pot is at 111 S. Green River Road; 812-401-8111

The new East Side granola pot will be at 5600 E. Virginia St.

Grilled nachos is open again on Green River Road with a new menu of authentic Mexican dishes including enchiladas, caldo de res beef soup, thick filled gorditas, crispy and sweet bimbuñelos (much like a pancake, funnel cake and an all in one cookie) and much more.

Mexican Restaurant Jalisco in Newburgh will soon open a new authentic Taqueria in the former location of Mele’s Diner behind White Castle on Logan Drive. Look for street tacos, authentic soups and some favorite Tex-Mex dishes from the Jalisco menu.

Wolf’s Bar-BQ announced the return of its all-day buffet. Wolf’s has been an Evansville staple restaurant since 1927. On the menu you’ll find grilled pork and chicken, fried chicken and seafood, sandwiches, salads and more. The lunch buffet will run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, the dinner buffet is served all day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
