Foreigner complains about Mexican food and gets harshly criticized

“Do they eat everything with a tortilla?” Says the foreigner in a Facebook group of typical Mexican food recipes.

Something very characteristic that everyone loves in Mexico is its gastronomy, or at least the majority because a foreign wife complained in a Facebook group where recipes of different types of Mexican food is shared between them. The woman described the dishes as “monotonous” because most of them are eaten with a very Mexican product such as tortillas.

His complaint also related to other products widely used in Mexican cuisine, such as spices, meat, beans and cheese.

Of course, this stranger’s complaint managed to anger much of the group’s community: “Comida Mexicana Araceli Oficial“, who is the one who shared a screenshot of the comment:

Do they eat everything with a TORTILLA? You don’t get tired? With all due respect to the chain and to the Mexican people, their food is very monotonous (…) They use the same ingredients for everything”, can be read in the comment.

Of course, angry Mexicans didn’t hesitate to come out to defend our gastronomy and put the foreigner in their place, so one of them replied this:

Tortillas are our daily bread and fresh from the comal they are tastier, on my ranch they are the ones that never fail, thank goodness. Beautiful afternoon my beautiful people be happy I love you very much”.

Although the place where the user who filed the complaint comes from is never mentioned, she still gave some details about her gastronomy, because I assure you that it is broader since they prepare “a different soup every day without repeating itself”.

Thanks to the large community that makes up the Mexican food group, the screenshot has managed to rack up more than 18,000 Facebook reactions and comments supporting the tortilla and other Mexican dishes, as well as several comments mocking the complaint from abroad.
