Are you in the mood for Mexican food?

If you’re in Ohio, you should check out these restaurants (this list is by no means exhaustive!).

Momocho

If you find yourself in northeast Ohio, you should check out Momocho, which many locals consider one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Customers highly recommend starting with some of their delicious, fresh guacamole; customers particularly recommend the goat cheese guacamole with tomato and poblano pepper, but if you want to sample a few different guacamoles, you can get a guacamole sampler with three guacamoles of your choice. As for entrees, you should check out their machaca tacos (which have beef brisket that’s been braised in coffee and ancho chili plus guacamole) and the pork chop el carbon, which is smothered in a delicious chili Oaxacan red and a chocolate mole and topped with herbs – ricotta tamale balls, pickled Fresno peppers and spicy chicharrones.

Momocho is located at 1835 Fulton Rd, Cleveland, OH 44113.

El Jaliciense

This central Ohio restaurant is known for its fantastic Mexican cuisine. People love their sweet corn tortilla tacos, which include your choice of meat, onions, and cilantro; you can’t go wrong with tacos al pastor, beef barbacoa or chicken. If you love seafood, check out their caldo de siete mares, also known as soup of the seven seas, which features clams, catfish, shrimp and squid. Customers are also very fond of their chimichangas and fajitas; their steak fajitas are a popular choice.

El Jaliciense is located at 3528 Sullivant Ave, Columbus, OH 43204.

Taqueria San Marcos

Taco lovers should visit this southwestern Ohio restaurant. Customers highly recommend the tacos al pastor as well as the lengua and barbacoa.
